Embedded Camera Support Design: Competition Winners Announced!

We are proud to present the winners of the Embedded Camera Support Design Competition, congratulations! A huge thanks to the 80 participants, organized in 59 teams from more than 15 countries around the globe, for making the competition a success.

A special thanks to Samsung Electronics for sponsoring this year’s competition, as well as to our esteemed panel of judges for assuming the difficult task of deciding the first, second and third place winners.

First Place:
“TOTEM” by Aline Mulonnière

Powerful concept using foldable legs that become both camera support and casing at the same time. Bold solution with an applicable concept, both as an attachment to existing camera models or a whole new product line that can have a broad appeal. Clear and strong aesthetics, product character and simple usability for both the camera support and for image capturing options.

Second Place:
“EMBEDDED CAMERA SUPPORT DESIGN” by Fitorio Leksono

Simplicity and feasibility are the most valuable aspects of this proposal. The flexible “Reclining System” provides easy deployment and flexibility for multi-angle, horizontal and vertical positions. The solution is well integrated with the camera body, and could be developed as a simple redesign of current camera models or developed as an adjustable add-on.

Third Place:
“AMPERSTAND” by Kacper Holenderski and Bob Spikman

This solution offers versatility and a distinct design element for a fun, light, new way of capturing and stabilizing the camera. The “Clamp” concept creates an intuitive mechanism that provides flexibility for diverse image capturing situations.
